Lucía Caldeiro

Public/Certified Translator –
English<>Spanish

About me

My name is Lucía Caldeiro Reynosa, Public/Certified Translator of English<>Spanish graduated from the University of the Republic (UdelaR), Uruguay.

English was something I always loved. When I was 17 years old I traveled to Cambridge, England to study English in-situ and live in a family home for a month. An incredible experience in every way that I am grateful for until this day. When I returned home, I started studying Architecture and, 10 years later, I graduated as an Architect. Nonetheless, in the middle of my degree, I realized that there was something I was even more passionate about, languages. It was at that moment that I decided to study Translation at the School of Law, start studying other languages such as French and Portuguese, and embark on the area of international studies. I am also an Editor graduated from CLAEH University.

Currently, I am taking a Master’s Degree in Communication and Marketing Management at ORT University, Uruguay, and I work in the capacity development area and communications area of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI). I have also worked at UNOPS (United Nations), the World Bank and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), where I have developed capacities in the area of international cooperation.
